Fellows of the Craft
On February 25th, 2025, Oriental Lodge No. 33 had the pleasure of passing Brother Christopher McCarthy and Brother Dylan Brugman to the degree of Fellowcraft.
The Fellowcraft degree is a powerful step in a Mason’s journey. Where the Entered Apprentice lays the foundation, the Fellowcraft begins the work of building—seeking knowledge, sharpening discernment, and exploring the deeper architecture of the Craft. It is a degree rich in symbolism, rooted in study, and aimed at preparing the candidate for thoughtful labor, both within and without.
Brothers McCarthy and Brugman approached this step with real intent. Their dedication to the long form catechism reflects their desire to not simply advance, but to understand and preserve.. That effort has not gone unnoticed. It is clear they are not just moving through degrees, but walking the path.
The evening was well-attended, and the ritual work was strong. But more importantly, the spirit of the degree—the sense of progression, brotherhood, and reflection—was felt throughout the room.
As these brothers continue their Masonic journey, we encourage all to support them, guide them, and walk beside them. They are not just candidates. They are builders now, working their way toward deeper Light.
